I cant quote you J - iPhones make a mess of long posts I feel the same as Murf, he put it more aptly than I. The bobtail tails are not as you rightly say always the same length. In litters they can differ & some are long. Theyre not consistent. Maybe in generations to come ......
V.B. - what's a Check boxer? I'm guessing it's a reference to a marking in the white coat? Sorry - total ignorance on my part.Terrible affliction to be sure but easily cured by asking and being answered...
Thank you! Is there a minimum size for the patch? My Daisy has one tiny (1cm diameter)patch on one ear.Does this qualify her as a check?
I could turn round & say my bitch isnt White - shes a Check, whats the point..... Call her what you want I won't be calling her at all. As for Whites, you are a bit behind the times - Sorry but there are prejudist people about. The German Governing Boxer Breed Club have declared that White Boxers can be shown/bred from, no longer excluded - they have been restored to their natural position within the Boxer World. White Boxers have been shown in Germany for the past seven plus months!!! This has been as is Dr. C's bobtail website a well know fact for sometime now. With EC regulations the rest of Europe will follow suit
This is as it should be as the original boxers where white anyway. This whole prejudic attitude is a bit too silly for me.
Hi ho - a tiny mark on a white dog is just that Harvey has one on his right hock in shape of a heart. He also has spotted pigmentation - he is however a White Boxer Katie has a larger check/patch on her rump - see below I prefer to call her White & rarely even notice the brindle patch

Its you that keeps mentioning it.....
Take this in for a change--You really do have a problem with something and I am beginning to realize it isn't about having anything positive about your prejudistic attitude. You just NEED to have the last say full stop.Well be my guest you have the all floor to yourself I am closing this thread to my e.mail it has become an absolute bore.

In all honesty the same could be said about all pedigree dogs, why would someone choose a pedigree over a rescue....because they like the looks, temperament and characteristics associated with that breed to best suit them as an individual. Some like bobtails and some like full tails as long as they haven't been docked without a legitimate reason like working etc.... I don't see the problem and find it irrelevant, each to their own and all that I guess. Frankly I hope they stay at the price they're at, hopefully this will deter people who will want to exploit them, alas though such is the greed of human nature people will probably do just that and see them as a money making scheme and exploit them... The same is true with snakes, a £30,000 snake will go down considerably after a few years when more people start to breed them and they sell for less. Even worse is when people cant afford them so they do a little sneaky underhand trick where they post an add for sale saying they have such and such for £700. When it reality they are a £1500 and of course people will ring them up as who wouldn't want something for nearly half price? Of course though they never existed in the first place so they tell them they should get more in next week...which obviously never happens and so a breeder will see the add and be like” Uh oh, I better lower my prices to stay in the 'market'” And so when the breeder lowers his price the original person will come in and buy them and then breed them and sell them on... Obviously I'm not saying this is true of dog breeding, but why would someone want to pay £900 for a puppy when the breeder down the street is selling them for £500? They wouldn't, which is what annoys me when people don't understand how much work a breeder has put into his or her breeding program and breeding stock and all it takes is for one 'greedy' person to get a hold of one and 'farms' them for lack of a better word just to make a quick buck..
