These are the health tests I would want to see on any Springer I bought:

Both parents DNA tested for Fucosidosis
Both parents DNA tested for PRA Cord-1
Both parents eye tested yearly for GPRA, CPRA and MRD
Both parents tested unaffected for primary glaucoma (Goniodysgenesis)
    Both parents hipscored
Puppies to have been tested for MRD prior to being homed.

Hipscoring isn't really done tbh as hips aren't a problem in the breed (show type, not sure about workers), although people are now starting to score their stud dogs. Everything else though is essential imo. :D

All breeds should have all the health tests available QED. My BC bitch with poor hips isn't unsound or in pain I wouldn't know about her hips unless I had had them scored

Explain how we could name one when they don't score them in the first place? Unless people have suddenly developed xray vision?!

How can anyone do that? If it lacks stamina, cant jump etc.. it would be sold! If it had hip dysplasia you wouldnt know! If it was scored and scored high it would also be sold! Who would know, thats common sense!

Well you don’t need “xray vision”

you can tell just by looking at the back end usually?

“Explain how we could name one when they don't score them in the first place?”

…….probably because they don’t need hip scoring in the first place…..

Why would you buy a dog that lacks stamina?

"If it had hip dysplasia you wouldnt know!"......I think you would....

With respect, this is utter rubbish. Physical symptoms of HD do not tend to surface unless it is quite severe. A dog can have mild HD and be symptom free on the outside.

Really ?? Gosh why did I waste my money having Jessie scored then as she is perfectly sound ? Should just have bred from her then ? Good job I didn't as she has cr@p hips scored over 50 !!! So do tell me how dos a dog with bad hips move ?
