We've tried everywhere. Also our toddler is a bit wild, so I wouldn't say hes sensible (he throws his cars about and jumped off the sofa the other day, landed on his head and screamed the house down). We have a park down the road which we could let them offlead in. But the situation really is hopeless... :-( We're thinking about a puggle now.
Why can't you fence your garden or an area of your garden if you want one that much?, surely you will have to fence it for a puggle anyway otherwise that would be escaping the same :?
And if your baby is that nutty a puggle, being a small dog, could get hurt. You don't need to go to the RGT or greyhound rescues for a grey. All you have to do is go to the track when they're trialling during the day and talk to the trainers.
Well heres mine (technically Honey's a longdog, but anyway ) Because look at their faces. Honey, Diesel. Also, They look great running, can look stupid, and not care, like to laze around (although you can trip over them..) they can do cute and cuddly, can make you laugh by causing mayhem (btw he's not nervous, just stopped after spinning round and winding everyone else up lol)
I don't need convincing! Just the OH. I might be visiting RGT Notts this weekend - so I'll ask to take a couple for a walk and see how it pans out Lovely dogs btw.
Haven't shown him it yet..but it will be saved - he's had tonnes to think about..and a little stressed so I'm treading carefully...
Lurchers are very intelligent and like listening to music! They also love sleeping with Daddy!! Greyhounds and lurchers love each other! Greyhounds love sleeping upside down! Lurchers like to listen to greyhounds talking! And they're just plain gorgeous!! There's nowt to discuss.....go get one....or two!!
Zoe you make a lovely point - can't wait til May/June/July - well I can, I don't want my OH to move away for 3 months and only see me every so often...but a new addition would be lovely. Or two (Hopefully two sisters will need to go together and have everything I need) I'll have to wait til after Kate's 3 have finished their hols with me though first. (5 dogs in one house for two weeks = heaven! 6/7 may be a bit difficult for just me though ) I'm going away for the weekend - more piccies please
