they are both very old breeders, who have been in the Boxer world for more yrs than you would liek to count, and Like faerdorn you will find many a boxer with one or the other in their pedigree.
Regarding colour of the Boxer (apart from the white) there is only one base coat colour....ALL reds or brindle's will have the same base colour, and that is red/fawn it will go from degrees of pale fawn to a dark deer red, then depending on the amount of black stripe (if any) gives you the variety of shades and or red or brindle. The black is not possible as they dont carry a dominant black gene. The blue , is again really a red, but a very diluted colour, that has been bred to dilute to dilute over time, giving the appearance of Blue, but in truth they will have the same base Red coat colour as the rest of them.
Mmm... I am a brindle lover... the darker the better - with some nice white on the chest (but not the nexk/collar)... *swoon*
Not really, depends on what you mean by "going out of fashion"! Some are more current then others, because they are more active in the showing world,(now) as with faerdorn, Winuwuk , Walkon and so on, As with most things, the ones that are doing well in the ring at any given moment will be the ones that will be sought after, hence it gets their name in the limelight more often, Some kennels will die out, due to the fact the breeder is old and no longer active in the breed, but their lines will hopefully go on, through careful breeding. Types /colour go out in and out of fashion, look to the show ring, reds/brindle's, continental, UK types , these will change as and when what does well in the ring. At this given time, Brindle is the most popular colour in the ring,

1) plain red (black mask, no white or minimal white) 2) "Flashy" Red and white 3) Light brindle. Not a fan of dark brindle on any dog.
Stans great great grandad is lust in the dust. I don't know much about Boxer kennels but Stan has Bucksteps, Winuwuk, linsteve, walkon, boxken. He's a brindle and white. Am loving all this boxer talk though!!!
