Never claimed to have done so, unsure I would of wanted too hearing of the breeding practises really. However I HAVE corresponded with a few who did infact have dealings with her in regards too the dogs and saw it for themselves, aswell as doing my research for what's clearly around for those that want too find it :wink: Though a lot of these very informative pieces that existed on forums posted years have since dissapeared since I mentioned them on a thread a while back and linked certain members too them, strange that really isn't it?
The dogs are crosses, created originally for no other reason then sellable dogs that filled a gap in the market. And unfortunately still used in such a way by certain breeders today. No real background, inexplainable health problems by the bag full, and dogs that turn out as varied in looks as a yorkie, a gsd, and a saint bernard. Oh dear maybe that could be the next new "breed", sourced from a few shelters and put with lord knows what...I'll make claims they are some form of viking dog, just like these are linked too Inuit people though have nothing to do with them or the original inuit dogs really :?

Please don't generalise Luke - I, for instance, am a 'Ute person' by dint of owning one and do not back it.

Whilst it may have been useful to you, these types are being bred as and marketed as lookalikes, which means that like it or not, looks are indeed pretty important.

As lovely as they are, most don't look like what they're supposed to resemble, its amazing that they're allowed to advertize them as wolf lookalikes when most clearly aren't. You couldn't advertize a fridge as a tv lookalike and expect to get away with it.

Ref the suggestion of Collie input in the NID, what do you think? I have (before the suggestion was made) wondered about a this, because of the look of a few older dogs I have seen, not size wise but markings, coat and eye colour.

Agree with you there werewolf Probably the most attractive NI's I've met have had that look.

I'm shocked you weren't more involved with the respective litters though considering you believed Hal to be a wolf cross Actually I'm stunned you used him at all.

Its that exact irresponsible and not bothered attitude by breeders and people who allow their dogs to be used (Im assuming his hips were at least scored) that has this type of dog in the state that its in.

She bought a supposed f4 wolfdog illegally from someone who wasn't licenced to keep wolves or wolfdogs, and by the description of the conditions the animals were kept in, the breeder wouldn't have met the criteria for the licence at all, and yet your stunned she used him as a stud.

.... also... two adult wolves in a barn?...unless they were chained dont think a barn would of contained them ... i still do not believe that part of the 'story'

Thats all most of the Ute/NI Wolf "hybrid" thing is, a story! Except for a certain person who did in fact state it on TV, then change her mind very shortly afterwards!

and i still reckon that was just for publicity!

It was an interview, with the "creator" of the NI. Incidently the NI appeared AFTER this interview, yet the dog she claims is a Wolf Hybrid, magically turned into an NI with no Wolf in him!

No, Luke happened still to have it on video, he played the video on the TV then filmed it with his camera and uploaded it to his PB site. It was a BBC program, Watchdog I think.

Backfired a bit though hasn't it. As which ever way you look at it, there has been obvious lies about the wolf content.
