    Gnasher's Tai was a rescue.

My husband had a Pyrenean who was a real handful and very challenging indeed.

Hmm so I'm guessing there is some issue with gnasher referring to such dogs as wolf dogs?

I'm just interested in people opinions as to why/what makes NIs etc are 'different'.

Sorry, should clarify, he was a rescue from a 'lookalike' rescue/adoption set up.

I have! Both my boys are rescues - one a utonagan, the other a wolf cross.

What IS your problem? You don't know me, you have never met me, you have never met my dogs. I don't care a tinker's cuss whether you believe Hal was a wolf cross or not. Only I know the truth, why i should bother to lie god knows. He is long dead, and just a load of bones now in my back garden. His son Ben, who we have also rescued and is now living with us as his forever home, has been castrated, which IMO is a real shame, but no opportunity to make money there if that's what your thinking.

Tai is a mongrel, Ben is a mongrel as far as I am concerned. Both beautiful dogs, adored by all who know them, and particularly us. I burst with pride when i see them churning up and down the canal chasing ducks, or belting round the fields chasing each other. They are magnificent animals both of them - dubious origins or not, both are superbly healthy and fit. I would far rather have my "dubious" dogs as you call them, than a GSD with a pedigree as long as your arm, but with hips so poor and haunches so fallen that the poor animal can barely walk.

No issue at all as far as I am concerned. It is tupacs that has the problem.

If it's the PRIVATE message that I think it is, then I sincerely hope that Tupacs can be trusted to keep that PRIVATE. To abuse a private message would be the lowest of the low in my opinion.

my' problem'(as u call it) is you claim u are an expert on northern breeds..but havnt owned one....
....and how you try to convince people sibes/mals/ are recent wolf crosses...

imo u live in a fairytale red :)

..oh and the reason your dogs have sa is because you made them that way! not because they are 'specialist'

eta...i have no problem with mongrels have two here :)

You have Hal's son? Congratulations. Knowing how much you loved your Hal (who could therefore never be just a load of bones), you must be over the moon to have his son.

    1. Please link to the post where I claim to be an expert on northern breeds. I would not consider 13 years of owning such dogs would qualify me to make such a statement.

    2. I have owned several northern breeds - first Hal (a mal x sibe x wolf). His son Woody, whose mother was an NI, Tai, a utonagan, and Ben, one of Tai's sons. In addition I have contact with a daughter of Hal's (from the NI mother), who is the spit of her father to look at and in character.

    3. Again, you don't know me, you have never met me Tupacs, you have never met my dogs. Therefore I would terribly interested to hear how you could possibly know that I caused the sa. Especially in the case of Tai and Ben, who came to me with sa. You really must learn to stick to facts.

Thank you darling, I am! OH isn't - he has to bear the brunt of the walking every day because I'm out at work. disobedient like his dad, so similar in so many ways, but still a watered-down version!

I was under the impression you had been told several versions of the 'truth' about Hal?
