My staffy has full pricked ears General Chat

I've got a 16 month old staffi and I'm the only permanent home he's had and its all down to his ears he is a brilliant dog and I've developed a close bond with him does anyone know what all the fuss is about over a set of ears

People may think the ears have been cropped? This is a very cruel practice, illegal in this country.

If he is your pet then the ears are just cosmetic but full prick ears are not breed standard. But as I say it is just cosmetic.

IF its a kk bred dog they do tend to have full prick ears as they are heavilly inbred and some have the ebt influence way back in the ped I had one the same as for cropped ears Im sure you would know lol

Megan had sticky up ears and the vet said that the cartilage at the base of the ear is sometimes too strong to allow the ear to flop down. Apparently a variety of things can be stuck to the ear to weight it down Her ears stayed up!!

My China has full pricked ears and i think she's gorgeous!

Lots of staffords have full prick ears. Happens when the ear cartilage is too think. It was also allowed when the first breed standard for Staffords was registered with the KC.

Our Staffie is now about 9 and has pricked ears. We have had her since she was a puppy of 9 weeks and she certainly has not had them cropped.
