Just out of a matter of interest, my greyhound chatters her teeth, sometimes very loudly! It's usually when I have a treat for her or if she gets excited! It's so funny Does anyone else have this with their hounds?!
My German Pointer's teeth chatter when I come in from work, along with frantic wriggling around me and little whimpering noises. It's a fabulous "welcome home" from work.
Leo sings, he really goes for it - he throws back his head and howls if anyone plays a note on the piano, which of course is done just for the enjoyment of watching and listening to him sing. We also have a mouth organ, that was bought when the children were little, he sings happily along to that too and you can't say that we are getting any sort of tune out of it! Doesn't sing along to music CD's or tv though.
Jenny, my lurcher is very vocal! If you do it back to her she replies!! But Holly's teeth chattering are magnificent!! I can't imagine having 4 doing it!! Most excellent!!
Mine dont do it but have seen some that do!! I think those of you with teeth chattering and singing hounds should put some vids up would be well funny
my old girl Molly sadly at the bridge now used to do this when she was excited none of the others do it though.
Yep my grey does it, my old girl didnt but did do the greyhound smile! I also think ness could do dressage - she will prance along with her legs sticky straight out, does the sideway walking and will stand on her hind legs waving her front ones in the air! She doesnt actually know shes a greyhound!
Bizkit does that, we call it purring... she used to do t to the cat who purred back... very cute! She still does t when she's excited.. I'll try to get a video
I have several greyhounds whose teeth chatter, it always makes me smile. I also have a couple who really do smile at you, it is so sweet and two of my youngsters howl when they hear an emergency siren go past!
we meet a retired greyhound on our walks and he chatters away at dave before smiling at me which i think is the cutest most appealing thing ever!
Most excellent!!! Having never had a greyhound before Holly....at first I thought there was something wrong with her!!! It is very endearing though isn't it?!! That's why I fell in love with her gob wobble!!!
Axel does it when he sees his lead and gets all giddy (as much as a lazy grey can!) and when he's really getting into a massage/cuddle session, such a soppy boy! He's yet to do a 'smile' though...anyone got any pics of them, I've never seen one...
