Im not kidding, and it must be mentioned that I assume these animals were NOT bred from. But, it must also be remembered that these were obviously seen as "good enough to breed from" before the hip score, so what does that tell you about the overall quality of the dogs?

I mention it here as these are the lines behind the NI supposedly being used to "improve" the Ute, yes I did say that, IMPROVE!

    I've said on a few occasions to people that appear to dislike the forum and people who use it;

If you don't like it, leave, maybe she's done just that.

She did say however, that she would answer questions if they were asked on her own forum. So, who wants to go first.

:shock: I despair, I don't see how adding Mahlek dogs to the Ute breeding programme is going to help them ,in any way.

Are these Utes cross NI's or Ute x GSD's being sold as British Utonagan's , or will they be sold and advertised as Ute crosses?

Thats just it though, they shouldn't be sold AT ALL until adulthood. If they did keep ALL pups to check for health and temperament as they mature then I might actually have a shred of respect for them. It is useless to say they will be microchipped and registered etc that means NOTHING!! It just proves they are in it for the money.

If they are serious they NEED to and HAVE to KEEP all litters with the BREEDER.............will they though? Will they heck!

Exactly what I have been saying, but sadly it's never going to happen. They would be losing too much money if they don't sell the pups.

To be honest (not something you would hear any of 'these' people say:grin: ) the fact that Alady?? hasn't been back to answer these questions makes it obvious that she has no answers and that is despicable. These people are pure egostistical idiots and how dare they say they love their dogs! Love themselves and the glory more like..........I am disgusted!

Let them stick to their own forums where they are full of adoring suckers.....erm.... I mean fans:lol:

I know Alady wont be back to answer any of the questions but if anybody would like to take a shot at answering this question - go for it.

A recent litter of BUA pups is advertized like this -

    British Utonagan Puppies

Large gentle breed sound temperament Wolf look-a-like puppies to deserning families.
These puppies will look like wolves but with NO wolf content.

This is the link that its taken from - [Link removed]

Now the question is, none of these pups look like wolves, nor is it likely so, is this false advertizing? Note it clearly says WILL LOOK LIKE WOLVES. Do you get your money back if your dog grows up and looks exactly like a german shepherd?

Yep I have often seen black wolfs with white chests in the wild..................NOT:roll:

I see they are called British Utonagan............I can't get my head round that!! How can they be when they are a first cross with a GSD?? Note the bold about him being KC reg but not metioning he isn't a Ute so these pups cannot be anything but crosses! This is what makes me sooo blumming angry!

What was Alady?? saying about keeping track of the puppies when they are selling them on cheap puppy sites?? Hardly the workings of a faction intent on doing the right thing.............sickening!

Wohoo Mack's a British Utonagan,

So no mention they are actually crosses, at all, so that is hardly a great start. So selling pups on a dodgy website is the way forward for the breed?

No mention at all of the fact these dogs are going to be big, not your average pet dog, what they orignated from, nothing!

How can selling a cross as a Ute, be ethical?????

My lurcher Diesel has more chance of looking like and siring pups that look like Pharoah hounds then a ute has to look like a wolf, and no I don't think he looks like a pharoah hound, and yes he is neatured ;)

Also I see no mention of the strict contact that is to be maintained by the BUA, only that membership is included, so how are they going to watch how these pups grow up like they say?

    What a joke!

Well, selling them through a site like the one they are on, is not likely to attract the right owners.

Play up the wolfiness, fudge the truth of what they actually are, use words like KC accredited, pedigree certificates, and how you will own a founding dogs in this new breed, in the ad is very misleading, no mention of GSD's, sibes or Mals.

If you were creating a new breed, wouldn't you keep the pups, to make sure they all had the same upbringing, so you fairly assess their character and health?

It is a huge joke, unfortunately the dogs aren't laughing :(

    oh my.

You see there are members like me who sit and read all this and try to give both sides the benefit of the doubt...you'd think I'd have learnt by now!

Every time someone claims that it is going to be a fresh start, they know there were bad things done before - its all going to be different this time etc.etc....and I actually think, 'well give them the benefit of the doubt'.

Then I see things like this add and all I can say is 'I've been suckered again'. But at least I know enough never to buy one of these dogs....what about all the poor people who are going to be taken in by all their lies? Not to mention all the poor pups...it wouldn't surprise me to see a large number of these dogs in rescue over the coming years when the owners realise they haven't bought what they thought they were buying

You'd hope that by that time the dog would be a part of their family and their lives and the owners wouldn't care 'what they were getting'.

I could never give up a dog I'd had in the house since a pup...people who can do that just because they didn't get a dog that looks exactly like a wolf don't deserve to own dogs in the first place.

I think Hali, means in terms of temperament, a puppy ,is very different to a fully mature dog of this type, they take several years to mature. You have no idea what traits it will grow up to have, what if these dogs guard like a GSD?

I own exactly this crossing, and most of his litter has been rehomed, because they were too full on for a pet home. They are not your average pet, and advertising them on V,street, is not the best way to go.
