ahhh yes the point of the sarrloos content was the point of idea of the N.I - hence asking you why the N.I was created.
-To create a balanced dog with wolfy chracteristcs- the sarrloos content creates more of a 'type'

yes i did state that on another thread, that imo the reason for adding csv and swd was that they breed to type..and is a selling point

but the saarloos temp is undesirable in anything other than the saarloos

I would'nt know - not met enough of the 'british wolfdogs' but isnt the idea that some of the traits ARE desirable i.e having some percentage of saarloos give a calmer temprement ? and I do stress 'idea'

no murph... shoshone used to breed n.i's in the beggining(she was there at the start)

she no longer breeds n.i's she breeds shoshone british inuits(wolfdog crosses)

    and wolfzone csv's

... and the others lol ;-) ;-)

Are you getting your dog from the breeder in question?

I think the problem with this breed and this forum, is.............as others have said, so much has been said on this forum, much of it done by breeders of these dogs in a very poor manner, so things tend to stick and people do tend to come in all guns blazing, its hardly surprising so much of whats been done by breeders of these dogs is utterly cruel.

You said this in reply to someone saying about Rotties temprements??

wow im going to have to clarify myself better!...yes Tupac i know the above- my point was that the british inuit/british wolfdog, what ever you want to call it is shoshones idea of what the N.I should be

The idea of having saarloos content in the british wolfdog (amongst other things) is for temperament. - in Runes experience this is the case, apparently

BUt here was nothing wrong with the temprement on the NI (apparently) so why add something else to sort the temprement and give it a new name?

Thats it, I'm gonna breed dogs, not quite sure what I want yet, but I'll think of something 'special' I'll then make all of my money breeding these 'special' dogs, anyone want to join me? You can charge what you want, people will pay, if we fall out thats fine we'll just start breeding different 'breeds', we can have many dogs all looking very different health tests who cares of the results, not had a dog of this 'breed' before no matter learn as you go with your breeding the people who buy from you should be prepared for this.

Can you tell I'm feeling annoyed right now ;) I'll stick to my sighthounds and add a few bully breeds and I'm alright chuck, nothing special, but they probally look as 'wolfy' as some of the dogs sold as wolf lookalikes, are a lot cheaper, and have been around a lot longer without all the bitchiness.

See the way i read it was that the NI was so unhealthy thats why they added the saarloos and the NI was meant to improve the temprement of the saarloos.
