Two litters due, and each pup £2000...Please how do people sleep at night asking for so much???? its becoming a joke..right? and for anyone that didnt guess the 'breed' or should i say cross breed, there NI's...are these dogs really just seen as money making toys? There labradoodles go for quite abit to £750 each with £250 non-refundable deposit !!! seems like this really is just a money making kennel!! ... shame ahhh. Also CSV puppies are at £1500 Hope they have a breeding licence, with over 13bitches !!
Shoshone has never been a good apple (my opinion only). I know you're coming into the whole NI thing quite late DD, but seriously this topic has been done to death on this forum for many years. It's getting a little tiresome now tbh. What's the point in threads like these?
Yep seems i did come into it late, and im disgusted with what i have seen...I guess there is no point, i was just shocked..my bad...il make sure i post no more of the same.
I'm not saying it's terrible, it truly is, but the thing is this sort of thing goes on every single day of every single year with all breeds via puppy farmers, it's nothing new. All you're going to get with this sort of thread is the same old people having a cheap, nasty dig at the same old people. There's really no point, it's just the same crap over, and over, and over again. And after 5 years I guess I've just seen enough..............
Some of us havent been looking into this breed for 5mins let alone 5years...but like i said, il make sure this is the first and last thread i do on the 'breed'. and of course there are puppy farmers in all breeds, im not naive enough to believe it only goes on in 'wolf' like dogs. Although i havent seen boarder line puppy farmers in any other breed be accepted or praised...but hey il leave it at that.
I think the best thing to do is go back over the last few years and look at some of the threads on NIs. There are a lot of nasty, b*tchy threads out there to peruse. You'll soon get the idea, so there'll be no need to start new ones. Not saying that you intended to be nasty or b*tchy, but that's what this thread will end up as, you mark my words.
They wouldn`t offer them if fools weren`t prepared to pay. I loathe the whole hype around these `wow i gotta wolf!` sites. Why the heck would anyone want a faux-wild animal in their house - or be daft enough to think that because it looks like a duck it must be a duck even though it ain`t got feathers.
Yep! Think the topic has been flogged to death on every animal related forum there is! BUT! if we can catch and discourage just one person from being conned out of their hard earned in believing they are purchasing something unique then is it not worth it? We have to remember that in many of these instances, the price charged is dominated by what the buyer in prepared to pay, if we can convince buyers that these breeds are not worthy of their hefty price tag then would this affect the price? and in turn deter the BYB?? my view is let the flogging continue! regards DT
I agree. I have seen many threads on this topic over the years, but we have new people joining the forum everyday who have never heard about these dogs and what goes on. As DD says she knew nothing until recently. So if it makes people more aware of what goes on then I think it is a good thing.
Threads like these are only any good if it doesn't turn into a b*itch fest, which judging by past history is highly unlikely.
I don't think these are NIDs...more likely 'wolfdog' generally means it has CSV or Saarloos in there just to make it that tiny bit more 'rare'. NI puppies do not go for that amount of money and anyone who pays £2000 just for the name 'wolfdog' is an idiot.
Here we go again with the bitching! The 2k price tag is for wolf hybrids- highly specialist and rare therefore expensive.
I don't think they are wolf hybrids either as for a f1 or f2 generation wolf hybrid in this country you still need a license so far as I am aware?
I thought that after F2 'hybrid' didn't really apply as the wolf content is less than 25%? Or am I getting myself confused again :-S
Yes it is a 'money making kennel' whats your point? why is that a shame ???? 1500 is the going rate for cvs... there are very few in the UK and very few litters per year
So they breed two litters at once.... are they going to have enough "highly specialist" homes for them...or are they all going to first time dog owners who happen to throw them £2000
There IS money being made on them!! thats how AT makes a living... A highly specialised dog for a specialised home therefore expensive
