they have puppies for sale and they dont live too far from me i saw them advertised and it says show quality.... just wondered because i dont think they have a website.
Are you sure its Valleygame and not Valley Gate? There is a Valley Gate Labradors which you can easily find on a google search!
Just Googled them and they do exist in Northwitch, KC Accredited Breeders apparantly...Never heard of them but I know nothing about Labs or lab breeders.
yeah i know they are in northwich but couldnt find their own website. know i found those too but its valleygame...
Just to mention for anyone out there reading this: if you would like a Labrador, then there are SO many lovely ones in rescues, just waiting for nice new owners! My Lab is a rescue and he has the sweetest temperament possible in any dog. There are Labrador specific rescue groups - please consider these if you are looking for a Lab
ok good.. I was just doing a search for the aforementioned 'breeder' and this forum came up.. was just wondering if anyone did actually get a puppy from there?
Labs are great anyways.. I have been a mad labrador fan for a great many years. not met many problem labs.
Interesting. If you read the data from the APBC annual review for 2005 the second most popular breed referred to their members was the labrador, 34.5 % were referred due to aggression to people; interesting eh?
I would say the root of the issues were bad handilng from an early age a lot of new puppy owner go to visit ther potential bundle of happines at the breeders premises, the ret of the clan may or may not have been inrotroduced,
there are only bad owning practises.. in the whole, I think rescue labr are amongst the easie to re home weith less issues.
I've met several nutty Labs, just at our local park. One of them came racing up to me and my ON LEASH dog yesterday and then tried to start with Dexter. There is a Chocolate Lab also at the same park who cannot play with other dogs without getting very aggressive. I think their sheer popularity means that invariably, many are the products of poor breeding - lots of people get them from Puppy Farms and Back Yard Breeders. Also as they are so exuberant when young, I can well imagine that if not handled properly, that energy and excitement can end up turning into more aggressive behaviour. So I guess I'm saying I'm not overly surprised by what you posted
Pardon? can you explain your meaning. To be honest from personal experience there are as many aggressive labs out there as there are non aggressive. Due the the amount of indiscriminate breeding of such a popular breed.
I agree there is far too much indescriminate breeding going on, I was going to write especially in labradors.. but that's just my own personal opinion. I am saddened to read that you have had so many bad experiences with aggressive labradors, this is not what the breed is all about. as far as my comment about bad owning practises, many of the behavioural problems dogs have are down to bad management/training.
