Yes, you have given it loud and clear, You are breeding from untested dogs to improve a breed, To coin your own phrase........time will tell the outcome of your breeding. In a few decades , your breeding will have an impact on the breed (and your designer cross) but not the one you think, sadly! See yah later........(.chuckle) (snigger)
Yes, we here at Chatham Hill in the USA do breed Flat-Coat Retrievers. We own a Yellow Flat-Coat Retriever and aren't AFRAID to breed it with another Flat-Coat Retriever--just because he is YELLOW. We also cross-breed the Flatcoat with the American Cocker Spaniel; we call this dog a Chatham Hill Retriever. Anymore questions? Check out my website and email me. I am done schooling you all who live across the pond. And I want to thank the many members on this forum who have sent me private messages and emails thanking me for voicing my opinion and for liking what we here at Chatham Hill are doing. Thank you all and Happy Holidays.
Did that days ago..Saw all I needed, to make my mind up to what sort of breeder you are, what with your clients, your designer dogs, taking money off potential owners before pups are born.. Yada Yada!
And the most bizarre thing is the so called Chatham Hill Retriever just looks like a working Cocker! A designer dog that looks exactly like a dog that has already been around for decades!
See ya! I kinda thought that would happen, and not all of us are across the pond... hey! I know someone in the states who's getting a rescue possibly cocker cross retreiver... maybe one of yours?
who needs to defend themselves..and against what The threads about yellow flat coats, and as your the only one breed them - your the only one needing to defend your self.. (double snicker anyone).
What a shocker....questioned about health tests etc...longevity of breeding stock, mean age of death etc etc etc and off they go...shocker. At least now when people google Chatham Hill Retriever this thread will come up.
And I`d like to thank you for being so entertaining on a chilly afternoon. Frockers! Joy to the World and all that.
I'm sorry - I thought you had spent 1/2 of this thread knocking pure FCRs due to the horrific health issues that kill them all before they reach old age? .....Yet you actually breed them without health testing the parents?
