I was not going to respond to this, as I do not have FCRS - but I have actually traced my bitch back to the 1800's - certainly not disappointing.

Siren has been hip scored (and come in below her breed average), she has had PRA test (although not an up to date on this year) and a Gonioscopy (Clear) she is also DNA clear for TNS, CL and CEA.

Will you now elaborate on the tests that you carry out on your dogs?

ETA - forgot - she has had a BAER test as well (and passed both sides).

whats with the copying and pasting of your previous post!
Is that to try and cover up where people have asked what tests you do? as your website says nothing about the health of any of your breeds or crosses, and states no results - I guess you dont bother ;)

Snickers, chuckles and lots of copy and pasting. I suspect Chathma Hill will disappear shortly, having not answered the questions and come back in a couple of days with another long post that slates the BRITISH KC (she is in America...so the relevance I am not sure about) and says very little else. She certainly won't answer the questions.

Procedure performed by a PennHip specialist and Friend on my side of the equation.

PRA physical exam to rule it out.

    Lineage research beyond 12 generations....

Related dogs have lived 12, 13,14 and one 16 year old.

    Your turn.

    Lol

Have you owned any of the dogs you bred from birth through to death?

That's not even close to the number of tests that others on here have said need to be done... and what about helping with the cancer research? Also I'll ask a question, What are you doing to help decrease the number of dogs (currently estimated that between 4-5 million die in shelters every year) ending up in shelters across the USA? are you involved in breed rescue? like any responsible breeder is? can you prove that none of your dogs have ended up in rescue/shelter? does it state in your contract that at any time, if the purchaser no longer wants the dog, that it must be returned to you? no matter the age?

What was the mean age of death> in the UK in the last survey done the mean age of death was 9.3 years.

How many dogs in your lines developed or died of cancer?

    No yours me thinks

What health tests do you do. what are the results of such tests

Do you know what to test for in both of your breeds?

Its a very simple question, what health tests do you perform on your dogs!

So you are not doing the blood sample to test for PRA genetically then? It's free.....
    http://www.fcrsainc.org/health/praarticle.html
A physical exam would not actually tell you if your dog is a carrier of PRA, just if the dog actually has it...

So basicaly the poster is spouting off how wonderful she is, and how she is going to breed the new generation of healthy dogs.

But fails in the simplest of tasks...hip scoring , and eye testing.

So ask yourselves how all this testing has changed things. :)

We already know the answer, just curious if you do.

    And....

Again... in a few decades we can compare notes....

    You bring your dogs

    I'll bring mine.

As for the Shelters and populations.....

When one of my dogs winds up in a shelter.... then I've failed.

Go ahead and ask my CLIENTS how much they had to prove before adopting one of mine..... Go on....

    Give it a try.

    I'm done

    So..to summarise.
You are creating a 'new' breed of retriever from a breed of dog you think is riddled with health problems.
You do not health test your breeding stock.

Ummmmmmmmmmm....and you are telling us this is good why????

Predictable...knew you would be out of here. See you in a couple of days when you have composed another long answer that slates other people but doesn't actually tell us why what you are doing (breeding crosses from non health tested dogs) is okay.

    The questions won't go away.
