I don't have a working cocker, but I know plenty of folk that have them! Will try and get some pictures of them all!

    Pics would be great

I wanted another large-ish dog for my next dog, but seem to be quite drawn to the working cockers

The working Cocker is a working dog in the main, many are not suited to pet life, they are incredibly "busy" and need a job to do.

You should come to Cornwall.....there are loads here - I get lots coming through Puppy classes - often in pet homes who find them quite difficult.

They are also becoming quite popular on the agility scene.

Thank you for the pics

Apparently we have a few breeders around here and in Wales, but I have yet to meet or see one out and about, I'm obviously not going to the right places!

There are loads of working cockers round here, moreso than the show type and they are brill at agility.

I'd like one someday, an orange roan in particular.

There is a black and tan working cocker which picks up on a shoot I sometimes beat on, he/she is a stunning looking dog.

I think the colour you mean is blue roan, if workers are classed the same as show type.

I have show type cockers in blue roan, orange roan, blue roan & tan, black & white.....and now a very beautiful Liver roan & tan.....my new baby that's coming home on Saturday!

We have a working cocker and he was our first dog and is just brilliant, he is very busy out on a walk, but we took him gundog training from about 8m old and now he is reliable at coming back:lol: , he'll still trot off or should say bog off as he never trots anywhere, but he does come back.
And in the house he's as lazy as the next dog, must get a pic of him lying upside down, spread eagled next to the radiator 8)
    here he is
