staffy pup, face looks like a lab Questions

nah , apparently the guy i had him off has his dad , this was a tan staffy , also there was a blue pit . both was on a balcony of a high rise flat , very sad
he says he studded the dad out and had pick of the litter

he was 8 weeks when i had him , he was left in a bedroom on his own , made me sad going there tbh but wasnt a puppy farm

Have to agree, he looks more Staffie /Lab to me, adorable all the same but his head is very much lab!!

He looks happy enough now.

Best advice I can give is as I said before train him well socialise him and enjoy him.

I would not feel gutted, I'd be proud if he were mine. He is a lovely dog and at the end of the day a dog is the product of the work you put inot him/her....a dog to be proud of is one who is well socialised, content and happy, looks good on all counts with for pup.

A smasher who cares if he is not a full staff.....I'd be prud and happy to have him on the end of my lead.

The thing is the bloke who you got him off may not know he is not full staff anyhow...may have some Lab the generation back so 1/4 lab 3/4 staff....easy to fool/confuse people with that...its done a lot for height.

If you want a full staff then you need to go to a responsible breeder....but your lad looks to have landed on his feet with you. I figure you already knew he wasn't full staff or you wouldn't have asked...but he is as I say a smasher.

I understand why you feel gutted but that is to do with human behaviour not the dog.
You clearly love him so care for him
Forget everything else but he is yours, your best friend.

Do everything to make sure he is well trained and socialised.

Just enjoy him

definately lab even has the eye colour of a lab

we went through the same thing with my dog, her face was a bit long and jowelly. shes tall though, 20inch at the shoulder and she was 14 months old before she filled out. the other pups from the litter stand 17 inches at the tallest and 15 at the shortest and the dam and sire are 15 inches and 16 and a half inches respectivly, so shes a genetic freak the vet put her into the computer as a staffy cross and i get asked 10 times a week if shes a pit bull or an irish/olde tyme, its the joys of staffy ownership my friend. they cant all look the same no matter how much the kc want them to. and b4 they start with the 'very tall for a staff' she has papers and the breeders only breed staffs, no other dogs. the dam and sire both compete and so does her brother. Shes the same colour and markings as her brothers and sister just 3 inches taller at the shoulder and 1 inch taller at the withers. the breeders think shes wonderfull and named her amazonia cos she was a big girl as a 3 week old pup and weighed nearl twice as much as her siblings ,now her full name on her papers is 'princess amazonia loki'

My first thoughts were a Lab, but now jiffa has volunteered the information that a pit was in the home, and as he got it from the bloke who "studded" the male and kept a pup, then it may well be a pit x staffie..which will be considered "type"

I think staffy/lab too. More lab than staffy I would say. For me the dog isn't jowelly enough to be recognised as Pit type at first glance.

Your dog is beautifull and I would say he's definatley crossed with a lab. My freinds mum has one. they look very similar. Look at his paws they should be quite big and how tall is he ? Lovely dog
