No mention of giant mals, it just says malamute.

Apparantly, this breeder can also predict how many pups will be in a litter, it would seem before the mating has even taken place. Oh, and also garantees champions in the litter, and of course, charges more for them.

The price for 1 of these pups ranges from $1000 to $2800.

Just looked at the site and read the part about Jezebel's pups. I am amazed at this woman's psychic ability. She can tell how many pups will be born, and even that they will have erect ars, even though the dam doesn't. And bless her she may even keep the dam, even though she usually uses her bitches for breeding then rehomes them. What a great breeder!

Because we can, because we want to? We live in a society that values things less and less. All the things that are new and amazing one minute are trash the next.

Currently there are some Pitbull x Wolf puppies for sale in the USA- is this an expression of the owners personality? In a country where both breeds are largely illegal what is the outlook for these pups? Euthanasia most likely. See we don't have to cull them at birth to develop breeds; society will do it for us and take away responsibility from the individual as well.

Thats just one of the views from this high horse. I'm off to trade my dogs in for one of those 'low maintenance' ones in pink...

As she is the only breeder then perhaps she can guarantee champions because she is the only judge?

I hear that the giant Mals are popular in cross breeding (the dire wolf was meant to be a big animal) but they apparently suffer from hip and joint problems. There seems to be a new trend in breeding really big versions of dogs or mini versions at the moment.

Didn't say it's right.. I said it's what we do... Some times you have to choose whether to look down from your high horse and despair, or get off and do something. But banning crossbreeding or demanding purity won't work, it goes against the human grain... No matter how much we wish it wasn't so, people will still crossbreed and yes I can think of a number of people who would think that Pit Bull wolf crosses would be perfect dogs. Same sort of people who keep Tigers in their backyards. Doesn't make them right, but if they can get hold of one of each breed, then yes it will happen...

That low maintenance pink one you're after may take a bit more time though... Although I hear they have made some progress with pups that glow in the dark... Night retriever anyone?

Do any of you folks do any research, read or have any kind of education or are you just lazy? Or do you feel that you know enough to discuss matters that you know absolutly nothing about. This is why people do not respond to you. Really ignorant answers to some pretty good questions. Let me see if I can enlighten this group of folks who ASSUME too much and know too little.
If you will research dog breeding and the definition of Pure bred you will eventually come to the conclusion that
    1. Any living organizim (animal or plant) can be a new or rare breed if it consistantly reproduces itself.
What does that mean? It doesnt mean that just because (a dog for example) is the same color as the parents that it is 'bred true'. One of you got it close... when they included in their communication, the word: standards. Breeding true means that the organism is the same in all aspects such as height, ear set on, tail set on, length of skull, body, muzzle, tails, legs, etc. as well as the temperament and character of the entity.
Now if you have done a thourough job at researching this topic you will find that many genetisits have created pure strains in the least amount of breeding which would be (three). In this particular instance only one 'character' was needed in the new creation and that was that the dog be more slender, smaller and that the ears went down instead of up. This particular new breed was a 'ground' dog. There for the least amount of breeding (in generations) would be (3). There fore the correct answer is and always will be (and i quote) "As many breedings as it takes to produce consistancy in all aspects of the parents".
To be legally correct and to have prove of this breeding of consistancy a breed standard helps.
Registries are not necessary for any type of 'acknowledgement' nor are they the 'prove' of any form of genetic breeding seal of approval. They are simply a large group of no bodies, that many un educated people run to in order to recieve a form or paper with a stamp of approval on it. Once the public understands the stupidity of the thousands of 'registrations' throughout the world (in any field) then the people will be able to 'shed' the fantasy or falsity of what one thinks to believe in. Just because a flower, weed, art piece, animal or what ever.... is 'registered' doesnt make it so. There was a very famous youngster who figured this out at an early age and began making his own money and paper identities as well as certificates claiming that he was a doctor, lawyor, air plane pilot, etc.... How does any one know that you are who you say you are? Words tell others who you are, what you know and even.... what you dont know. Lois Schwarz founder of the Alsatian Shepalutes 1987

Yes that's all well and good - your dogs have a 'type'. Well done you. That doesn't excuse breeding from eight month old bitches though does it?

Luki's mum: Your words tell me that you don't even know what 'type' means and that you still have not read any breeding books. As far as breeding 8 mo old dogs, I don’t breed them, they do it themselves. My dogs live on five acres of farmland in a pack and breed whenever GOD decides that it is time. What I do is to make sure that the right dog is in the right place when the time comes. Nature knows better than you do that's for sure. Please don’t give me this cr_p about breeding an 11 yr old human child either as that would just emphasis the fact that you talk like so many others who know nothing. I have been breeding animals and living in nature for over 50 yrs and I have not just been spouting off and talking from the couch. I got involved in breeding all kinds of animals and keeping records of the genetics of the prodigy around the age of 7 yrs old. I am not talking one or two generations either. Neither do I purchase several 18 generations solidly bred animals and breed one time and say, 'oh my look what I have created, arnt I smart' as some breeders do. That is not breeding, that is stealing or using anothers breeding stock. Breeding animals is an art. There are many folks who do things, but to do things proper and to the best of ones abilities takes devotion and yrs and yrs........ of education on the matter.
'trying' to discuss a subject with another human being takes some form of education or knowledge in the subject being discussed. For instance, try discussing the topic of chemical compounds with a person who has only taken one class in biology or... how about talking trigonometry with a person that only knows addition and subtraction? Most people will not even attempt to discuss something with someone when the subject is over the other persons heads because such conversation as this ..... comes next... what a complete waste of my time to talk with people who are so stubborn and who simple can not nor will not bend to even accept a different thought than what has been pounded into their heads by other couch potatoes who think they also know something. Good grief... and that’s all I have to say to you.

Mahoola, you would not know a really put together piece of animal flesh if it stood right there before you. That’s what the words that fly out of your fingers tell anyone who reads them (who can 'see')....
You have no depth, you have no complete understanding of what is necessary to know before you bring about a whole litter of pups into this world. Nor would you bring any animals into this world, and that is a good thing. I am glad you have that philosophy that there are far too many animals on this planet and that everyone should save a pound doggy.... Lets hope you don’t procreate yourself, or if you have, lets hope they expand their minds further than what I can see that you have (not).

ClaireandDaisy, here’s another person that fits into the rest of the level of intelligence of this thread... Rude, yes,,, ignorant is something you need to look up cause it doesn’t fit. If you want to use the word ignorant, first you have to find out if using that word would be correct for the sentence and the subject at hand. You have not done that, you just spout off a word without delving into whether it is correct or not. Perhaps you are just trying to fight back and that word is thrown in there as a 'blow' to me. It is not because I am sound in the knowledge as to who I am and I do not need to pretend, nor to make up, nor to fabricate, to impress anyone.
Those few words of yours (starting off another thread from your fingers and your mind) tell me all I need to know about you. You are lazy and you do not do any research either, just like your pals... shall i go on? I am not 'on' this forum; I do not delve into forums. I don’t need to spend my time giving my knowledge away or even freely and happily, allowing others to improve their knowledge base by cheerleading them or motivating them into finding the 'facts' for which I hold out in front of them ...
I don’t make assumptions, I was quoting the person who was 'assuming' but I see you did not 'get' that either... Now let’s take some of the words you write... and look into them... 'Newbie' that is to put me in my place and is also another attempt at slapping me, which it doesn’t even affect me. i am just pointing yourself out to you because you don’t know how you portray yourself through your words... I am an animal behavioral specialist; I pay attention to languages that may be too small or uneventful for you to 'see'. Perhaps you would either agree with what I am saying, look further into what I am saying, or even look up what is being said, but i doubt that, by your other words.... as i said, you are lazy and would rather type a bunch of words to defend yourself rather than find out about something...
"to stop you" there is a group of words that tell you what? About yourself and your communication towards me.? "Let me tell” and you were typing so fast that you forgot the 'you'.. cause you are coming from anger and running on auto pilot, (without brain engaged).
If this is the most educated forum you have found.. I rest my case...
I`ll cut the incredibly simplistic precis of breeding because it`s taken from a primer.
This makes no sense at all and is not even worth discussing.... I write all my own stuff and I am who I say I am and anyone reading my words would even know this… I will take it as a compliment…
This may be true of the US (although to be fair there are a few educated and intelligent Americans on the forum) but over here they can be the money-making type (as with your breed) or a genuine attempt to document the breed
Here is an attempt to place regions of where one lives as a defense and to collaborate your words, for which it does not... also, the statement that there are a 'few' educated Americans on this forum... sheesh, another attempt... your words (once again) tell others who you are... no comment necessary
Do you go to work? Do you have a job? Can you live without money? Is one job more important than another?

There is a very DEEP, in-depth conversation here, that I am not willing to go into detail with you about because: 1. it’s not worth my time. 2.Your character and temperament is at a stand still and you have no want to increase anything that you think you already know too much of because most of the people who you converse with tell you and agree with you, that yes, you are a smart and wise person.. and you of course believe them and because they all agree with you, you can call them 'friends'... Anyone who doesn’t see things your way, is simple wrong or doesn’t know anything or is rude and ignorant. This breed is documented but not by the 'elite' or the 'favorable' or the multimillion dollar conglomerates that you all bow down to....
As you know many breeds started in a small organized club and you (may or may not know) that the breed club is the back bone of the breed and the 'kennel clubs’ are the so called 'money makers' that you stick up for. They could care less about your breeds... (If you check into this, do the work... you will find out more than what i can express to you in a forum)
And last but not least: So - how much of your post was yours and how much was the guy who decided to make some bucks with designer breeding?
Once again, do the work and find out for yourself, take some initiative for the words you type... Schwarz Kennels Lois Schwarz, Schwarz books, Schwarz art, Lois Denny, Alsatian Shepalutes. There’s a place for you to start. Good luck.
It will help everyone and the entire planet if everybody kept educating themselves and stayed open to facts and opinions that may not seem to 'work' into their conformed brains...

Gosh, I nearly died. So the Alsatian Shepalute is created by God? And nature knows best when it comes to breeding, but you make sure the right dogs are together when the 'time is right' - how is that natural?

I have an interest in genetics, and I wondered whether you consider it sustainable/ethical to keep your dogs in a field as an isolated group and let them breed amongst themselves?

Oh, and I think you mean progeny, not prodigy...

Firstly it's Mahooli not Mahoola, secondly I think I said they looked like badly bred shepherds, in other words they look like shepherds but not quite. I didn't comment on whether they were well put together or not. They do not look like a different breed, simples!
Not sure where you get the next part of your post from as I, myself, am a breeder and I know what it takes to breed and raise a beautiful litter but am still learning and wil never stop learning.
I am also dubious of anyone who supposedly creates a new breed then is totally unable to think of a name for it and just makes one up using the names of the parent stock. Not very imaginative are you!

A question for Shepalute. What health tests do you do before you breed from your dogs?

Here's the link to the breeders code of ethics. I don't think it mentions anyspecific tests, but I might have missed it.

I'm sure only the healthiest example are used for breeding, after all, the *weak* are killed at birth. Any others that are unsuitable, have limited registration, or are not regestered at all, and not conciddered a shepalute. Quite odd, as I wasn't aware that not being regestered, mutated a dog into a different breed, a gsd is a gsd, regardless if it is kc reg or not. Secondly, I was under the impression that regestrations meant nothing to this person, that is the impression I got at least.
