Ah, you quoted me and used the term 'him' so i thought you must mean my boy (whispers to tupac - Alady's dog is a girl) Crossed wires, no problem
Thanks Its Raven, my pride and joy, more so because of her attitude than anything else a full Utonagan bred by Karen Clark. She is a bit of a posey pants... edited to add, yes Dawn the one in the same.
Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. It was my 40 over the weekend and this old lass has just sobered up! It wasn't ment as a negative, Lord no My guys are out fundraising in the summer. Lose my voice by the end of the gala season with the amount of questions we answer over and over again. Done with a smile and I haven't half met some lovely folks. Eye roll was ment to be light hearted, should have put a smiley next to it. Hope this explains. Take care. Seoniad. P.S. Thanks for your comment about Storm. He' was an amazing lad, our boss boy, lost him June last year at 14.
Alady - I had a look at your website and cant find anything on the history of the Utonagan other than this...... The British Utonagan Association The British Utonagan Association came together in October 2007 when a group of Utonagan addicts decided to create a service for all Utonagan owners that would incorporate open health records and pedigrees for all our member's perusal and also to offer a panel of advisors, consisting of vets, specialists, Utonagan “Veterans”, people who have qualifications in animal welfare, people with qualifications in animal husbandry, an archivist, and Utonagan breeders. Our panel will be in an advisory capacity and will help with any matters you may have! Could you please direct me to which section covers the actual history of the dogs?
May i ask the CWD owners here how you feel about your dogs not being recognised in europe (or FC1 pedigree) and the refusal of the european breeders to let your dogs mate with theirs?
There was much howling Loved the way you describe the independant nature of the sibe. Really well put. I looked down at Darcy and knew that's exactly what she would do. Be who she is and lead us safely back. Take care Seoniad
howdy my boy is for a companion and i would also like to work him,i didnt get him to breed or show ,so to me, i KNOW my boy is a csv i dont realy care either way,but i have had this discussion with csv breeders in europe and the 'refusal' as you say is only because they are not recognised yet,the breeders quite rightly dont want to mate with unregistered dogs!the breeders abroad(that i have spoken to) want fci and kc dual registration.
Hi. It was my understanding that the reason why breeders in Europe of both the cwd and saarloos arn't keen on the uk, is because the people mainly responsible for the introduction of these breeds into this country, havn't even got them established, before they decide to crossbreed them with timber wolves, ni, tamaskan etc. Of course I could be wrong, and am quite prepared to be. It is my belief that without new blood, the pure cwd and swh probably don't have a viable healthy future in the uk, as it would seem that the dogs being breed are either related or the same studs are being used constantly, which doesn't add to diversity, imo. Just to make it clear, I'm not having a go, at anyone or their dogs.
Borderdawn Im not aware that I mentioned that name as one of your "secret sources"(santas)-that was your good self It seems you are mentioning "source" in the singular rather than plural now. A few weeks ago on another thread you mentioned 4 different "secret sources" now it seems you have only 1. Could you give me a clue as to how many of these "secret sources" you will have next week as Im thinking of putting a punt on at ladbrokes?:-o
eve tazer i agree about the new blood! of course they are not happy about crossbreeding!!! but they know this happens with every breed of dog,as far as i know they would be perfectly happy for a bitch to be taken to stud abroad ONLY when the health test's have been done and they were a 'registered'(which uk bred ones are not) csv.and its simply not true people abroad will not sell to the uk,i know someone who is picking up a pup from europe
I like any bird thatl have me-I got lucky with my missus-shes a bit shortsighted By the way shes my girlfriend-not wife- should make it easier for her to dump me on her return if im still gazing at this screen (please refer to my posts on CW-all the other lovelies here do-watch the views grow!! )
I think you've summed up the situation perfectly Tazer, I believe what you say to be the case. I also agree with you about the pure Czechies and Saarloos not having a healthy future UNLESS new pure blood can be brought in from Europe.
Erm YOU implied it was Ronnie Winder by mentioning crossing Wolves with Wolfdogs, did you not? It did take me a while to work out who you meant I do admit, but sadly you are wrong. Ill never betray a confidence Jon, I really dont care how you mock or name call, the people who have put trust in me will have that honoured and kept. Its those people who are disheartened and unhappy about a lot of the Wolfdog "business" and its those people who I have the respect for. So you mock all you like my friend, Ill not stop you.
yes the pup is from good health tested stock to a good owner that will not cross it,so no problem eh?:?
