    Hi (Pigmentation of Blue Staffs/threads merged)

    i have a irish staff was wondering why some have blue skin and some have the usual pink any ideas?

    Some Irish staff bloodlines have smurf in them.

    serious answers please

    hi again to everybody. i asked a serious question that i wanted to know if anyone knew so far 1 silly person answers smurfs inside lol. but seriously does anyone know why some irish staffs have blue skin and some have the usual pink please????

    I assume its like with many different breeds have different pigmentation a bit like colour genetics and makes no difference

    Generally the Irish and blue dogs in general come from dilution of the black genetics. Technically black is not a color of hair, it is either "blue black" "red black" or "brown black" most dogs with the blue gray coat have blue skin. My pit has what is called blue fawn as her color, so her coat is blue, with gray skin, but on her head, she has a slight fawn tint to her blue hairs, and the skin there and where she is white is pink. lol @ smurfs
