Border collie x rottweiler? Photos

He's a cutie. I can see Collie, but not really Rotti, he reminds me of our collies when they were small, the two tri coloured ones.

You know the more i look at him the more i say collie but looking at his leg shape i would agree with whoever said terrier and my bet would be collie x terrier what terrier i wouldn`t like to say, but whatever he is her is very lovely. He has a very sweet face.

thanks he is such a sweetie, with such a good nature, loves both people and dogs. although he likes to get in trouble but in an adorable way cant resist his wee face. i definately think he is a collie x labrador with maybe something else thrown in. i see a lot of collie (he behaves like one too lol) but not really in his build. he has a labrador face lol, especially when food is about and he is looking at it longingly lol

I bet there is terrier in there somewhere, i have two JRT and they are great dogs, they think they are big like the inuits litle ankle bitters they rule the roust in this house.

Maybe Collie cross Lancashire heeler like my Jackjack? Would account for the tail and the broad chest, big paws.. Have to see how big he gets.. If his legs stay shorter, could be heeler..

One thing's for sure though, he adorable cross cutie!

I don't think he has any Lab in him. If he had Lab or Rottweiler in him he would be chunkier, especially around the face. Vets say any mixed breed dog that is parcially black is a Lab mix.

I still think Collie x Terrier of some sort.

A Border Collie/Jack Russell mix.

lol, jake is a wee ankle biter his teeth are small but boy are they sharp . he acts very collie, when he is in the park he runs around people and dogs like he is trying to herd them

the tails look the same and some of the colouring but facially they are real different, guess jake could have more collie influence with that lol. i dont think jake will stay short, he is getting quite big already and people who havent seen him for a few days says he has grown alot lol. how tall is jackjack?

that dog looks quite a bit like jake! facially and colouring. his facial expression can be really lab, especially when food is around . how big would he get having JRT in him? vet expects him to grow quite big. quite a few people at his puppy class have suggested JRT

some people have also said he looks a bit GSD and i took pics today and i can see it a bit lol...

his ears dont naturally stick up but when he lies on his back they flop up (is soooo cute ) so i took a pic of them getting lifted up lol...

I'm going with Collie X JRT or terrier of some kind. Looks just like the border jacks we have in agility class.

Sadly Jackjack is no longer with us, but Heelers are usually about the same size as a Corgi, but with longer legs... They were originally thought to be a cross between a Corgi and a Manchester Terrier. They make good Cattle dogs, are fearless and little ankle biters ...

I think Jake looks like a real heinz57 mutt.. In the nicest possible sense. I bet both his parents were random crosses and he's just a bitsa this and bitsa that...

aw, sorry about jackjack :-( i think he could be a heinz57 too... we met someone yesterday who said he definately has staffy in him, think he could? im seeing more shephard in him everyday. i think he is going to be too big to have JRT in him though, he is getting big but would expect him to get somewhere inbetween the size of a collie and JRT

I`m so sorry to hear jackjack no longer with us he looked like a great dog with a great tail, and a dogg who enjoyed life.

Looks a lot like my new pup Molly. We just got her DNA test results back and it indicated she's a rotti/sheltie mix but i do believe the sheltie is a little off. More likely a Border Collie which Shelties trace from. Regardless she's an amazing 5 month old sweetheart.

I've seen them before but never get tired of seeing baby Jake. (or grown up Jake!) He was such a cutie pie!!
